Toastmasters’ Youth Leadership Program

The Youth Leadership Program is an community outreach program from Toastmasters International, dedicated to developing Public speaking and Leadership skills. This program is being run at Churchill Meadows Library for eight 2-hour sessions on Mondays (6-8 pm) from Oct 1, 2018 to Nov 26, 2018.

The program is sponsored by local Toastmasters clubs and conducted by Toastmasters members. The unique design of the Youth Leadership Program follows a format similar to a typical Toastmasters meeting

Participants are selected on first come, first serve – priority given to those who have not participated in the program previously.

Participants must attend at least 6 of the 8 sessions in order to receive the completion certificate.

Participants learn to:

        • Overcome the nervousness everyone feels when asked to
          speak before an audience
        • Organize and present their ideas logically and convincingly
        • Listen carefully to others’ ideas
        • Offer advice that will help others improve their speaking and
          leadership skills
        • Participate in – and even lead – group discussions or meetings

Through the 8-session program, participants will increase their self-confidence as they learn. They also make new friends and have fun, reinforcing that Toastmasters is an enjoyable learning experience.

This is a FREE Event.
